The English Translation of Fourth Kalmah
This Kalma translates to:
“There is no god but Allah, He is One and has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is alive and does not die. In His hand is all good, and He has power over everything.”
The Meaning Fourth Kalima Tauheed
Tauheed, or monotheism, is the essence of the Fourth Kalma. It signifies the belief in the absolute oneness of Almighty Allah (SWT), rejecting any association with other deities or partners. Tauheed is the first and foremost tenet of Islam, encapsulating the foundation of the Islamic creed (Aqeedah).
This declaration serves as a reminder of the unity of Allah and His unmatched authority over all creation. Tauheed is the core of Islamic faith. It defines how Muslims understand Allah’s power, worship, and relationship with His creation.
Tauheed is divided into three key aspects that highlight the uniqueness of Allah SWT in all matters.
Oneness in Lordship (Tauheed ar-Rububiyyah)
The oneness of Allah’s lordship means He alone is the Creator, Sustainer, and Master of the universe. He governs everything, and no one shares His authority. Everything that happens is under His control, and His power is unmatched.
Oneness in Worship (Tauheed al-Uluhiyyah)
Tauheed al-Uluhiyyah highlights that only Allah (SWT) deserves worship. All acts of devotion—prayer, fasting, charity—must be for Him alone. Worshipping anything or anyone besides Allah (shirk) is the greatest sin in Islam.
Oneness in Names and Attributes (Tauheed al-Asma’ wa Sifat)
This aspect of Tauheed recognizes Allah’s unique names and attributes, such as Al-Rahman (The Most Merciful) and Al-Qadeer (The All-Powerful). His qualities, like His knowledge and mercy, are beyond human understanding, and they cannot be compared to anyone or anything else.
